What’s up Guardians? Here we are on Tuesday with your Destiny 2 weekly reset for October 17 2023 and we are in week 9 of Season of the Witch! Don’t forget that today is the start of the Festival of the Lost! Let’s dive right into it!
The Weekly Nightfall this week is The Scarlet Keep the weapon is the Buzzard Sidearm. There are Double Nightfall Rewards this week.
The Hero modifiers are:
- You will face combatants with Solar and Arc shields
- Barrier and Unstoppable Champions
- Hero Modifiers – Extra Shields, Maximum Level of 1765
- Arc Threat – 25% increase to incoming Arc damage
- Fire Pit – When defeated, Acolytes spawn fire pools that cause damage over time.
- Overcharged Weapons – Weapon overcharges from the Seasonal Artifact are active in this activity. Kinetic weapons do increased damage when your subclass matches an active surge
- Strand Surge – 25% damage increase to outgoing Strand damage
- Void Surge – 25% damage increase to outgoing Void damage
- Overcharged Sniper Rifles – 25% increase to Sniper Rifle damage
- Galvanized – Combatants have more health and are more difficult to stun
The Legend modifiers are all of the above plus:
- Legend Modifiers – Locked Loadout. Extra Shields, Maximum effective level of 1815
- Equipment locked
The Master modifiers are all of the above plus:
- Master Modifiers – Extra champions, Locked Loadout, Extra Shields, Maximum effective level of 1820
- Chaff – Radar is disabled
The Grandmaster modifiers are all of the above plus:
- Extinguish – If your fireteam falls in a Restricted Zone. Everyone is returned to orbit.
- Limited Revives – Limited fireteam revives. Gain additional revives by killing Champions
The Pinnacle Reward is obtained once you reach 200,000 as a score (cumulative over your runs of the Nightfall).

Activities for the Destiny 2 Weekly Reset for October 17 2023
Crucible this week is Momentum Control, Rumble, Rift and Control. Competitive Crucible this week is Rift, Showdown and Survival and the weapon is Mercurial Overreach. Crucible Labs is Checkmate Rumble. Gambit has also refreshed for the week and has additional Gambit Rank. Strikes are reset as well and the surge is Void and Stasis. This week there is Increased Vanguard Rank.
The Vex Incursion Zone this week is Liming Harbor
The featured Raid this week is Garden of Salvation the weapon is Divinity. The challenge is Leftovers – Complete the encounter without killing any Cyclops that spawn in the Harpy boss’s presence. Cyclops that spawn in other areas and during the final sprint can be killed.
The featured Dungeon this week is Pit of Heresy which will grant Pinnacle gear and the weapon is the Xenophage Machine Gun. The Ghosts of the Deep dungeon will also grant Pinnacle gear and the weapon is The Navigator Trace Rifle.
The featured Exotic Mission this week is Operation: Seraph Shield with the weapon being Revision Zero.
The Ascendant Challenge is Keep of Honed Edges – Eliminate the Hive Wizards, raise a sword and defeat the Hive Knights.
Other Pinnacle Drops:
- Dares of Eternity completed with a score of 250,000.
- Round 1 Hive
- Round 2 Vex
- Round 3 Valus Ta-aurc
- //node.ovrd.AVALAON// activity will grant a Pinnacle as well
- The Weekly campaign mission is No Time Left with a score of 100,000
Seasonal Challenges
- Sol Sorcery – Defeat combatants (1000) anywhere in the system with the damage type that matches your subclass. Earn bonus progress from combatants in Haunted Sectors during Festival of the Lost. Reward – Challenger XP+
- Sun and Moon – Defeat combatants (75) with Void or Solar damage in the Altars of Summoning. Reward – Challenger XP+
- Into the Unknown – Complete Lost Sectors (100) on Neptune, in Savathun’s throne world or on Europa. Haunted Sectors also grant progress during Festival of the Lost. Reward – Challenger XP
- Ritual Ornament – Acquire any ornament for the Seasonal ritual weapon. Reward – Challenger XP+++ and Bright Dust
- Moon Activities – On the Moon earn progress by completing bounties, patrols, public events and Lost Sectors (14). Reward – Challenger XP+ and Bright Dust
- Eyeing Iron – Complete Crucible matches (15). Earn bonus progress in Iron Banner and for victories. Reward – Challenger XP+ and Bright Dust
- Darkest Nightfall – Complete any Nightfall strike on Hero difficulty or higher (4). Reward – Nightfall Weapon, Challenger XP++ and Bright Dust
