Expendables 4 – First Trailer Out

From the first Expendables film in 2010 through the lackluster third installment in 2014, one thing was for certain, it was awesome to see all of your favorite action stars team up on screen.  Well, there is a fourth installment coming out September 22, 2023.  Expendables 4 aka Expend4bles released their first trailer today.

Sylvester Stallone is back as Barney Ross, the leader of the Expendables.  Fellow Expendables Lee Christmas (Jason Statham), Gunner Jensen (Dolph Lundgren) and Toll Road (Randy Couture) are also back to join in the fun.  We have some new faces joining the franchise as well with 50 Cent as Easy, Megan Fox as Gina, Ikow Uwais as Suerto, Andy Garcia as marsh, Tony Jaa, Jacob Scipio, Levy Tran, Sheila Shah and Eddie Hall in undisclosed roles.

The synopsis provided by Lionsgate is: A new generation of stars join the world’s top action stars for an adrenaline-fueled adventure in Expend4bles.  Reuniting as the team of elite mercenaries, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, and Sylvester Stallone are joined for the first time by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Megan Fox, Tony Jaa, Iko Uwais, Jacob Scipio, Levy Tran, and Andy Garcia.  Armed with every weapon they can get their hands on and the skills to use them, The Expendables are the world’s last line of defense and the team that gets called when all other options are off the table.  But new team members with new styles and tactics are going to give “new blood” a whole new meaning.

The film is directed by Scott Waugh based on a screenplay by Kurt Wimmer, Ted Daggerhart and Max Adams from a story by Spenser Cohen, Wimmer and Daggerhart.  I am a little shocked that we are not getting back some of the other Expendables from prior movies.  We got a lot of new blood with Wesley Snipes, Kellan Lutz, Ronda Rousey, Glen Powell and Victor Ortiz in the third film who were supposed to be the young guns coming up (except for Snipes).

The trailer seemed like a good time and is definitely something that is heading to my watch list.  What do you think about the Expendables 4 first trailer?  Let us know in the comments below or hit us up on our Twitter account.  As always stay tuned to Culture Splat for more content coming your way!  Check out our new Podcast Talking Splat on YouTube by clicking here, our first guest is Ango from Ango TV on YouTube or the Audio Options by clicking here.
