Halloween Ends in Theaters and on Peacock Same Day

The final installment of the David Gordon Green led Halloween series is set to come to an end this October.  Today it was announced that as with Halloween Kills, Halloween Ends will release simultaneously in theaters as well as on Peacock.

That is right, unlike HBO Max this is heading in the other direction and realizes there are those folks who love the theater experience and those who enjoy watching films at home on their television.  Halloween Ends will release on October 14th and all that we have been told is this will be the final showdown between Jamie Lee Curtis’ Laurie Strode and the shape himself Michael Myers.  Jamie Lee Curtis also released a video for the announcement via her Instagram account.

Coinciding with the release of this information, we were privy to a new poster for the film as well.  Which also indicated that the film has been rated R.

Halloween Ends Poster

The film is described by Universal as: “After 45 years, the most acclaimed, revered horror franchise in film history reaches its epic, terrifying conclusion as Laurie Strode faces off for the last time against the embodiment of evil, Michael Myers, in a final confrontation unlike any captured on-screen before. Only one of them will survive.”  The story picks up four years after the events of last year’s Halloween Kills, Laurie is living with her granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) and is finishing writing her memoir. Michael Myers hasn’t been seen since. Laurie, after allowing the specter of Michael to determine and drive her reality for decades, has decided to liberate herself from fear and rage and embrace life. But when a young man, Corey Cunningham (Rohan Campbell; The Hardy Boys, Virgin River), is accused of killing a boy he was babysitting, it ignites a cascade of violence and terror that will force Laurie to finally confront the evil she can’t control, once and for all.
