MLW Never Say Never Main

Yesterday on the Busted Open podcast, Major League Wrestling (MLW) founder and main man in charge Court Bauer announced that MLW plans to stream live events through the Fite+ subscription service on FiteTV.  The first event is on July 8th and that is Never Say Never.

Following up on the news from yesterday, the main event was announced and it will be Alex Hammerstone, who I was able to see wrestle and kick some serious ass here in Arizona at a local promotion, taking on Alex Kane for the MLW World Heavyweight Championship.

At Never Say Never, Kane is cashing in the golden ticket he got winning Battle Riot V to challenge the current champ.  Kane was a 2021 MLW Open Draft standout.  Winning the National Openweight Championship and climbing the rankings with high-profile wins, Kane has long stated the World Heavyweight Championship is his destiny.  The captain of the BOMAYE Fight Club, Kane had a brilliant performance in the 2023 Battle RIOT, being the first-ever combat to enter at number one and run the gauntlet, outlasting 39 others to secure a title shot anytime, anywhere.

Hammerstone has reigned supreme over MLW since June 1, 2019, when he won the National Openweight Championship en route to claiming the World Heavyweight Championship October 7, 2021.  Dispatching of challengers ranging from Jacob Fatu to YAMATO, the mighty Hammerstone has been the quintessential gold standard in MLW for four years.

Never Say Never

The event will take place live in Philadelphia at the famous 2300 Arena (once know as the ECW Arena).  If you are in the Philadelphia area, will you be attending the show?  Are you excited for MLW to be on FiteTV?  Let us know in the comments below or hit us up on our Twitter account by clicking here.  As always stay tuned to Culture Splat for more content daily and exciting new things coming soon!
