Over the weekend, Major League Wrestling (MLW) presented Never Say Never live on Pay Per View from the World Famous 2300 Arena (FKA ECW Arena). The card was packed with matches and we had been reporting on both the MLW Fusion taping that was taking place as well as Never Say Never. Here are your Never Say Never results from Saturday July 8th!
- MLW National Openweight Championship – Jacobs Fatu (c) vs. Calvin Tankman. Jacob Fatu defeated Tankman retaining the championship
- MLW World Featherweight Championship (Title for Title with wXw World Women’s Championship) – Delmi Exo (c) vs. Ava Everett (wXw Champion). “The God Queen” Delmi Exo defeated Ava Everett and is now a double champion.
- Timothy Thatch vs. “Hot Sauce” Tracy Williams. Tracy Williams defeated Thatcher via referee stoppage
- Country Whipping Match – Sam Adonis vs. Mance Warner. Mance Warner picked up the W in the whipping match.
- Fans Bring The Weapons MLW World Tag Team Championship Match – The Samoan SWAT Team (c) vs. The Calling (AKIRA & Rickey Shane Page). The Calling picks up the win and are now the MLW World Tag Team Champs!
- B3CCA performed “Hot Summer Fun”
- MLW World Heavyweight Championship – Alex Hammerstone (c) vs. Alex Kane of Bomaye Fight Club. Alex Kane picked up the W and is the new MLW World Heavyweight Champion by tapping out Hammerstone with a rear naked choke ending the illustrious reign of Alex Hammerstone.
Other notable things happening during the event. The search for the backer of the Bomaye Fight Club is over, Don King has been revealed as the mystery backer. The first two draft picks of the MLW Draft occurred with Kevin Blackwood getting drafted and a new stable was announced with the draft pick of Matt Cardona. He will be the headliner of World Titan Federation.
