Sony PS5 Pre-Order Available Soon – Everything We Know

There have been rumors that the Sony PS5 pre-order would be hitting any day now.  It now looks like that can happen at any moment.  Amazon finally has a page up with information about the PS5, which should mean the pre-order is just around the corner!  Sony has said that holiday 2020 is the release time for the PS5.  Production of the system began in June and Sony was originally planning on releasing between 5 and 6 million units by March of 2021.  According to an article by Bloomberg Sony has ramped up production and is planning on producing 10 million PS5 units this year due to the effects of Covid-19.  The ramped up production could put enough units in stores that it could allow you to not have to overpay for a system on offer up or eBay.

While pages for the systems are going up and pre-orders are seemingly imminent, we still do not know what the price will be.  Sony does have two versions of the system in production, the Playstation 5 with the 4K Ultra-HD Blu-ray drive and the Playstation 5 Digital Edition with no Blu-ray drive included.  We don’t know what either will cost, but we did receive word that games will run 70 dollars for the system.

Games

Grand Theft Auto will be making its way to its third generation of systems and was a highlight of the PS5 reveal.  We have already seen the box art for Spider-Man: Miles Morales and that game does look pretty freakin cool!  Gran Turismo 7, these games always look really cool!  A brand new Ratchet & Clank which should really be a cool looking game with the changing of dimensions.
