Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Trailer 2 Arrives Online

The sequel to the 2018 hit animated movie Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, has a release date of June 2, 2023.  Today we got the second official trailer for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.  The new trailer is chock full of tidbits for any Marvel fan.

The trailer is loaded with tons of additional Spider people that will be featured in the movie.  You can check out the new trailer below:

Shameik Moore returns as Miles Morales, Hailee Steinfeld continues her Marvel double duty as Gwen Stacy/Spider-Woman as well as Jake Johnson as Peter B. Parker and Brian Tyree Henry and Luna Lauren Velez returning as Miles parents.  Newcomers are Issa Rae as Jessica Drew/Spider-Woman, Jason Schwartzman as Jonathan Ohnn/The Spot, Daniel Kaluuya as Spider-Punk and Oscar Isaac as Miguel O’Hara/Spider-Man 2099 (reprising his role from the post credits of the original movie).

The official information on the movie from Sony is:

Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of the Oscar®-winning Spider-Verse saga, Spider-Man™: Across the Spider-Verse. After reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence. But when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and must redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.

I do like how they reference the last live action Marvel Spider-Man movie, Spider-Man: No Way Home with the line about Dr. Strange and the little nerd back on Earth 199999.  Brings this full circle with the multiverse stories from the MCU.
