It is Friday, and you know what that means in the world of Destiny. The return of our favorite Agent of the Nine Xur is back in town with his weekend loot. Below will be about where Xur is beginning September 16th through September 20th.
A little background for newer players to Destiny. Xur is a vendor, who sells exotic weapons, armor and more. He moves week to week to a new location around the different locations in Destiny. He shows his interesting face on Friday and remains until the weekly reset on Tuesday. This week Xur is hanging out in Watchers Grave on Nessus starting today September 16th. To get to Xur you will want to travel to the landing zone in Watchers grave and head into the big red tree and he will be waiting there for you.
Exotics
This week the exotics by Xur are an Exotic Engram (this will grant an exotic you do not currently own), the Two-Tailed Fox rocket launcher, the Shards of Galanor (exotic hunter gauntlets), Hallowfire Heart (exotic titan chest) and the Transversive Steps (exotic warlock legs). None of these are outstanding items but the Two-Tailed fox is a pretty decent rocket launcher, so if you don’t already have this in your vault it would be a good pickup.
Xur also sells the Hawkmoon and Dead Man’s Tale each week. This week the Hawkmoon has Paracausal Shot, Extended Barrel, Alloy Magazine, Surplus and Polymer Grip. The Dead Man’s Tale has Cranial Spike, Hammer-Forged Rifling, Armor-Piercing Rounds, Moving Target and Composite Stock. Neither of these are to impressive so we can’t realy recommend them.
Legendary Weapons
Each week Xur will also have Legendary Weapons for purchase. Xur for the weekend of September 16th has the Imperial Needle combat bow (void) with Impulse Amplifier, Swashbuckler and Charge Time. The Royal Chase scout rifle (void) with Grave Robber, Quickdraw and Reload Speed. Enigma’s Draw sidearm (kinetic) with Triple Tap, Demolitionist and Handling. Iota Draconis fusion rifle (solar) with Heating Up, Cornered and Charge Time. Ignition Code grenade launcher (kinetic) with Surplus, Danger Zone and Reload Speed. Interference VI heavy grenade launcher (arc) with Field Prep, Full Court and Velocity. Finally Xur has the Lonesome sidearm (kinetic) with Zen Moment, Kill Clip and Range. Of these weapons, the only ones we would think of grabbing would be the Imperial Needle since bows are one of the champion weapons this season and the Lonesome sidearm.
Legendary Armor
This week Xur has 2 sets of armor for each class. The armor is the Illicit Invader set which is from the Reckoning event and the Pathfinder set from the Season of the Lost. The armor this week is ehh at best and only pick it up if you don’t have the armor currently and like the look of it.
