Bill and Ted Face the Music Trailer

William S. Preston Esquire and Ted Theodore Logan are back for their long awaited third film, Bill and Ted Face the Music.  Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter first starred as titular characters in the 1989 movie Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure.  That film introduced us to the Wyld Stallyns, who would be guided through history by Rufus played by the late George Carlin.  They followed up that hit with the 1991 movie Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey which added William Sadler as the Grim Reaper.

Now at a time when most definitely everyone needs to be excellent to each other, we are graced with the first trailer of Bill and Ted Face the Music

It has been more than 30 years since the original film was released.  To catch everyone up, in the original film, Bill and Ted were on the verge of failing their history project and would never become the great band that would unite the world.  Rufus (Carlin) was sent back from the future to help them pass their history project which took them through history collecting key figures from the past and keep the future safe for the Wyld Stallyns.  In the 1991 film, our lead characters died, met the Grim Reaper and would eventually return to earth to battle evil robot versions of themselves.  Now in this new entry into the trilogy, it looks like Bill and Ted are still on the hunt for the Holy Grail of songs to unite the world, fulfill their rock and roll destiny and they are going to the future to try and steal it with a new cast of characters.

Bill and Ted Face the Music is set to hit theaters August 21, 2020
