Cloverfield Viral Slusho Website is Live Again

With a fourth Cloverfield film seemingly on the way, the viral website of the in film brand Slusho has gone active again.  Does this mean that this will be a direct sequel to the original 2008 film? You can check out the website by clicking here.

A little background on Slusho, it is a drink company in Japan that is owned by Tagruato.  That is the company that Rob Hawkins was going to work for before the events of the film took place.  The drink has a special ingredient of Seabed’s Nectar which gives it a highly addictive quality.  You can check out more on Slusho on the Cloverfield fandom page by clicking here.  The drink has the tagline “You can’t drink just six” and on the re-activated website you are able to mix the different flavors of Blueberry Zoom, Chocolate Rage, Mikan, Nashi, Banana Anime and Strawberry Tasty.  Once you chose your two flavors, you add them to the cup with the special ingredient and you get a Slusho kind of Gundam robot.

With the inclusion of the Slusho website going live, I get the feeling that we are getting a direct sequel to the original Cloverfield.  Will we get a surprise and it has already been filmed and marketing is just getting underway?  The last Cloverfield universe film we got was The Cloverfield Paradox in 2018 with a surprise drop during the Super Bowl.  What we do know about the newest installment is that it is being directed by Babak Anvari and will be/has been written by Joe Barton.

I am sure this is just the beginning of the marketing and that the website will grow more robust as we get closer to an actual release date for the unannounced film.  Do you want to see a direct sequel to the 2008 film or would you like to see another film in the overall universe?  Let us know in the comments below or hit us up on our Twitter account by clicking here.  As always stay tuned to Culture Splat for more content coming your way!
