Today with a sneak attack, Ryan Reynolds hit us with Deadpool 3 Officially Announced via Twitter, YouTube and Instagram.
The long anticipated and anxiously awaited debut of everyone’s favorite Merc with a Mouth, Deadpool, appearing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has finally been announced. The video starts with Ryan Reynolds sitting on a couch letting us know that he was extremely sad about missing D23 this year and that there was no Deadpool 3 Official Announcement. The video proceeds to a montage of his thinking process, training and pouring a nice coffee mug of some Aviation Gin in a Deadpool Mug. Reynolds proceeds to say he did have one idea and we have Hugh Jackman walking in the background of the video. Ryan asks Hugh if he would like to play Wolverine one more time., Jackman replies with yeah, sure Ryan. Queue up I will Always Love You by Whitney Houston and Reynolds raises his eyebrows smirks and we have Coming Hughn shown on screen with the Deadpool logo slashed by Wolverines claws and the date comes in of September 6, 2024.
The last time Hugh Jackman was in the role of Wolverine, we saw him die in the 2017 movie Logan. Jackman also indicated at that time that it would be the last time he portrayed the character and for new actors to “pick up the claws.” The Fox X-Men Universe is technically not MCU cannon so they can do what they want with this.
