With Fast X, this was supposed to be the beginning of a two part finale to the series. At the Rome premiere Vin Diesel dropped nuggets that maybe 11 would not be the last film in the series, you can check that out by clicking here. Today, it looks like Vin Diesel dropped the release date for the next Fast and Furious movie.
By way of his Instagram account, Vin said the following: April 4th 2025… is less than 22 months away. I love how expressive and collaborative all of the actors in our franchise feel coming into the World’s Saga. Jason wanted to try something totally unique and special and ended up creating a scene stealing character that the world won’t forget. Thank you all for showing up like you always do… 7 billion means nothing if it doesn’t represent the true feeling of family and loyalty. For those who didn’t know the FastX was just part one, know that part two is going to be an effort from our fast family and studio like you have never seen. All love…
I do find it interesting that Vin brought up Jason doing something unique with the character of Dante, as reports had been circulating that he was blaming Momoa for bad press for his over the top portrayal of the character. He also posted the following pictures to his Instagram with the date 4.4.2025
These appear to be concept art for Letty and Cipher in Antarctica during their escape in the last film. What we do know is that the Fast and Furious will not end with 11, whether there is a 12 in the series or not there will be at least one more Hobbs film with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson reprising his role for a stand alone film, check that out by clicking here.
