Through his Instagram account, Ryan Reynolds has released the first look at himself as Deadpool and Hugh Jackman as Wolverine in the upcoming film Deadpool 3. In the picture, the pair are walking down a dirt road side by side. The great thing about this picture is that we finally get to see Hugh Jackman in the iconic yellow and blue costume that comic fans have been waiting to see on Wolverine. Check out the image below:
Wolverine first appeared in the last panel of The Incredible Hulk #180. The original costume was pretty similar to what comic fans are used to except for the mask he wears. The original mask had whiskers, a black nose and did not have the “wings” coming up off of it. In 1975 is when he got the mask we are all used to in Giant-Size X-Men #1. This will be the 10th time that Jackman dons the claws as the character.
This image comes in hot off the heels of the news last week that Jennifer Garner will reprise her role as Elektra in Deadpool 3. The film is scheduled to be released on May 3rd, 2024 and alongside Reynolds, Jackman and Garner, Morena Baccarin returns as Vanessa, Brianna Hildebrand returns as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Stefan Kapicic as the voice of Colossus and Rob Delaney as Peter. Emma Corrin and Matthew Macfadyen have also been cast in undisclosed roles.
