Fortnite Delayed, Season 3 moved again

Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 3 was originally supposed to drop on June 4th (today) and it was announced last week that it would be delayed until June 11th.  Epic Games has announced that it is pushing back the drop of Season 3 again to June 17th.  The live event called “The Device” will arrive on June 15th, just before the start of Season 3.  Epic released a press release yesterday which can be found on their website by clicking here.

In their press release Epic states :

“Recent events are a heavy reminder of ongoing injustices in society, from the denial of basic human rights to the impact of racism both overt and subtle against people of color. We’re acutely aware of the pain our friends, families, team members, players, and communities are experiencing.
We believe in equality and justice, diversity and inclusion, and that these fundamentals are above politics.
The team is eager to move Fortnite forward, but we need to balance the Season 3 launch with time for the team to focus on themselves, their families, and their communities.
The live event The Device will be delayed to Monday, June 15, and the Season 3 launch delayed to Wednesday, June 17. We know this delay comes on the heels of another one, and we appreciate your patience and understanding during these difficult times.”

Due to the next season of Fortnite delayed until June 17th, the live event The Device will take place on a Monday now.  Live events have typically occurred on weekends throughout the history of the game.  I, just like many of you are excited to see what the live event and next season of Fortnite has to offer!  Let us know your thoughts below on the delay.
