IMPACT Wrestling Cancels Action Figures

IMPACT Wrestling is gearing up for the upcoming Victory Road event Friday September 8th and IMPACT 1000 on Saturday September 9th, as well as the IMPACT 1000 Fan Celebration all culminating from the Westchester County Center in White Plains, NY.  Today, we got some disappointing news about the upcoming IMPACT action figures that were supposed to be produced by Asylum.  IMPACT Wrestling cancels Asylum action figures.  In a statement, IMPACT stated:

IMPACT Wrestling regretfully announces that its scheduled action figures, made by Asylum, did not meet IMPACT standards nor the outlined timeframe for release.

Thus, IMPACT Wrestling is now in discussions with other action figure manufacturers for an upcoming release and no IMPACT Action Figures from Asylum will be produced.

All pre-payments for the IMPACT Action Figures made by Asylum will be refunded in full. Refunds will start being processed at the end of August.

Thank you for your understanding.

As bummed out as everyone, especially any who pre-ordered the figures, is at this news there is a silver lining.  IMPACT has shown that they have standards in place and would not release a toy just to release a toy.  They want to give the fans who spend their dollars on IMPACT Wrestling the best bang for their buck.  While getting a new action figure partner will take time for any release of the figures, I applaud IMPACT for this move.

What do you think the fact that IMPACT Wrestling cancels the Asylum action figures?  Will you be heading to the Westchester County Center to check Victory Road or IMPACT 1000?  Let us know down in the comments or by hitting us up on our Twitter account by clicking here.  As always stay tuned to Culture Splat for more content coming your way!
