Early this morning, WWE Superstar Matt Riddle became the latest professional wrestler to be accused of sexual abuse in the #speakout movement happening on Twitter. The claims are being made by independent wrestler Candy Cartwright.
In the claims on twitter, Cartwright alleged that in May 2018 while riding in a van with other wrestler, that Riddle choked her and threatened to make her have sex with him. Candy Cartwright said she performed oral sex on Riddle in order to get out of having intercourse with him. You can see her tweet below:
incredibly uncomfortable in that setting ) When I said no, he grabbed me by my throat, choked me and said “what if I just made you?” I ended up giving him oral sex (praying someone wouldn’t wake up) to get out of having intercourse with him. It was incredibly humiliating.

In light of the situation, the WWE has released a statement regarding the allegations “We take any allegation of this nature very seriously and are looking into the matter.” They later followed up with: “Individuals are responsible for their own personal actions. WWE has zero tolerance for matters involving domestic violence, child abuse and sexual assault. Upon arrest for such misconduct, a WWE talent will be immediately suspended. Upon conviction for such misconduct, a WWE talent will be immediately terminated.”
This is much different than their handling of the situation with Enzo Amore, as he was fired immediately.

The allegations by this independent female performer are completely false and another attempt to harass and humiliate Mr. and Mrs. Riddle and to try to tarnish their reputation in the community.
We have been aware for the last two years of this performer stalking the Riddle family.
In 2019, our firm had drafted a pleading against this performer to seek an injunction for cyberstalking in the Circuit Court for Orange County, Florida.
Matt Riddle is set to make his “main roster” debut on SmackDown tonight. Kurt Angle announced on May 29th that Riddle would be moving to SmackDown. The episode was filmed earlier in the week, so we would assume that he would still be debuting unless WWE is quick on their editing toes to remove him from the episode tonight.
