Eric Young Vince McMahon Failed As A Leader

Former WWE Superstar and current Impact star Eric Young said that Vince McMahon failed as a leader.  Young appeared on YouTube with wrestling interviewer extraordinaire Chris Van Vliet for an interview after getting cut from WWE and returning to Impact.

Young wrestling with TNA / Impact from 2004 through early 2016 when he left for WWE/NXT.  Upon joining the WWE, Young became the leader of the group SAnitY which was a huge hit with the fans.  He was with Alexander Wolfe, Sawyer Fulton and Nikki Cross.  Fulton was replaced quickly after an injury by the Beast of Belfast Killian Dain.  Their NXT run was great and in April of 2018 SAnitY was drafter to the “main roster” and were barely heard from again.  Eric Young was released on April 15th of this year during the string of cuts due to the coronavirus pandemic.

While heavily teased in their promo videos for the event, Young made his return to Impact at Slamiversary this year.  Slammiversary was a great show for fans and really gave Impact a shot in the arm.

According to the interview snippet which you can see below, Young says that when he heard they were going to release talent, he knew that he would be on that list and be released.  He does say that one person (Vince) made a big mistake and that he isn’t the first person he has made a mistake on and wont be the last.  Eric Young says that WWE is a broken system where you are not able to be creative and get ahead.  Eric Young says he would tell Vince McMahon to his face you failed as a leader that you can’t find something for Eric Young to do.  On a side note, that Avengers painting behind him is pretty awesome!
