Slammiversary 2020 Breaks Records For Impact Wrestling

On Saturday Night, Impact Wrestling presented Slammiversary 2020 and it had a lot of hype going in to the event.  Which former Superstars would show up, what former Impact talent would show up on the show.  Slammiversary was a hit not just for the wrestling and reaction in the wrestling community but Slammiversary 2020 breaks records for Impact Wrestling on social media.  The hashtag Slammiversary was consistently trending number 1 in the United States on Twitter.

This top trending was due in part to The Good Brothers showing up after their midnight announcement that they had signed with Impact Wrestling, The Motor City Machine Guns coming back to Impact and former champion Eric Young joining the match for the championship.  We also had the “hottest free agent on the market” Heath show up in the ring and a vignette from EC3.  There were three new champions crowned as Deonna Purrazzo showed her former employer what they were missing with her as she defeated Jordynne Grace, Chris Bey defeated Willie Mack and Eddie Edwards won the vacant World Championship.

“IMPACT Wrestling captured the world’s attention on Saturday night,” said IMPACT Wrestling Executive Vice President Scott D’Amore. “Slammiversary 2020 was the result of two-and-a-half years of hard work by our incredible team and talented roster, along with new additions who have decided to bet on IMPACT.”

Slammiversary 2020 broke Impact’s record for single-day total impressions by nearly doubling the previous record.  The announcement of Gallows and Anderson at midnight was the best performing tweet of all time by Impact.  Instagram also saw a huge increase with a 172 percent jump in single-day total likes.  The posts about EY returning and Heath’s debut are Impact’s top two most liked posts ever on Instagram.  YouTube was not left out of the growth either!  Their YouTube channel saw a rise in total views by 26.5 percent and a total watch time growth of 32 percent.  Their YouTube channel also added over 100 thousand new subscribers which is a 20 percent rise in subscriber rate.  Pretty damn good if you ask me!!!!
