MCU Schedule Change

The Marvel Multiverse Saga has gotten a little bit longer today.  Marvel has not added new films and TV shows to the lineup but they have shifted around a bunch of movies pushing out into 2027.  The MCU schedule change came about today so lets get into what has changed:

Deadpool 3

Deadpool 3

Deadpool 3 is going to be the first outing for the Merc with the mouth in the MCU.  Ryan Reynolds is bringing back Hugh Jackman for one more go as Wolverine.  The film was originally intended to release November 8, 2024.  With the schedule update, surprisingly this film will be arriving sooner than anticipated and will release on May 3, 2024.  So far the confirmed cast is Ryan Reynolds as the titular character of Deadpoool, Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Rob Delaney as Peter, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Stefan Kapicic as the voice of Colossus and Matthew Macfayden and Emma Corrin in undisclosed roles.

Captain America: Brave New World

Captain America - MCU Schedule Change

This film has moved from May 3, 2024 to August 26 2024.  We will have to wait a little longer to see Harrison Ford take up the Thunderbolt Ross role.  This film is blending the old era and new era with Liv Tyler and Tim Blake Nelson reprising their roles from The Incredible Hulk in 2008 and newcomers Danny Ramirez and Carl Lumbly from the Falcon and the Winter Soldier Disney+ show.

Thunderbolts

The Thunderbolts movie has moved from July 26, 2024 to December 20, 2024.  So far in this one, we know we have Harrison Ford returning as well as Julia Louis-Dreyfus.  David Harbor, Florence Pugh and Olga Kurylenko from Black Widow will be involved as well as Sebastian Stan, Wyatt Russell, Hannah John-Kamen as Ava Starr/Ghost and newcomer Steven Yeun as The Sentry and Ayo Edebiri in an undisclosed role.

Blade

Blade MCU Schedule Change

This film has been moving up and down the MCU schedule since it has been announced.  Today is no different as the Mahershala Ali led reboot is moving from September 6, 2024 to February 14, 2025.  Perfect timing for some neck biting on Valentines Day.

Fantastic Four

Fantastic Four

This film which has not had any concrete announcements on the cast is moving from February 14, 2025 to May 2, 2025.  Not a huge move and made room for Blade.  I am excited to finally hear the casting details.

Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars

Both of these films are moving a year back.  Kang Dynasty has been moved from May 2, 2025 to May 2, 2026 and Secret Wars is moving from May 1, 2026 to May 7, 2027.

What do you think about the MCU schedule change?  Anything you are glad or upset about?  I think the delays on some of the films could lead to better films coming out and not be rushed like it seems to have been.  Let us know your thoughts in the comments below or hit us up on our Twitter account by clicking here.  As always stay tuned to Culture Splat for more content coming your way!Check out our new Podcast Talking Splat on YouTube by clicking here, our first guest is Ango from Ango TV on YouTube or the Audio Options by clicking here.
