The Meg 2: The Trench trailer has arrived online and in it we get action, adventure, dinosaurs and Megalodon’s. It releases in theaters on August 4th this year.

The film has Jason Statham reprising his role as Jonas Taylor with Wu Jing joining the fray. Cliff Curtis (Mac), Shuya Sophia (Meiying) and Page Kennedy (DJ) are all back for the sequel. New comers to the series are Sergio Peris-Menchata, Skyler Samuels and Sienna Guillory. The first film was based on the novel by Steve Alten and this film is based on the follow-up book titled “The Trench.” Meg 2: The Trench is directed by Ben Wheatley, from a screenplay by Jon Hoeber & Eric Hoeber and Dean Georgaris.
