Today is the day, Sony is hosting their PlayStation Showcase for 2023. The last time Sony hosted a PlayStation Showcase was way back in 2021. This is expected to be a big one for Sony and the future of the PlayStation 5. Here is the PlayStation Showcase start time, how to watch and what to expect for our readers out there.
PlayStation Showcase start time and where to watch
Sony has stated that the showcase will be a little longer than an hour today. Here is their official statement: The show will run a bit over an hour, focusing on PS5 and PS VR2 games in development from top studios from around the world. Expect a glimpse at several new creations from PlayStation Studios, as well as spellbinding games from our third-party partners and indie creators. It will begin at 4 PM ET/1 PM PT and it will be broadcast on the official PlayStation YouTube and Twitch channels.
What to expect
I am expecting some news on the upcoming Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 game from Insomniac. I assume that we will get a release date and some game play footage, as well as confirmation on multiplayer or not as there have been rumors out in the wind. I assume on the backs of the hit show on HBOMAX or now just MAX we will get some The Last Of Us news. Will we get Bungie talking about their next game? Will it be Destiny 3 or a totally new IP? Sony also confirmed that there will be third-party games showcased as well and with all the news and hype about the new Mortal Kombat 1 and its September release, could we get some MK1 action?
