Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Has a Title

On June 1, 2021 Seth Rogan tweeted out that he will be working on a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot with his longtime collaborator Evan Goldberg.  Today we have a release date and a title for the new movie.  The animated movie will be titled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem and will be released exactly one year from today on August 4, 2023.

We also received the logo for the movie which the official TMNT twitter account tweeted out earlier today:

I must say looking at the logo is a pretty cool looking design.  The movie will be directed by Jeff Rowe from a screenplay written by Brendan O’Brien, who is known for writing the Rogan films Neighbors and Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising.  It will be produced by Rogan and Goldberg through their Point Grey Pictures and Nickelodeon Animation Studios.  Rogan also tweeted out today a cool street scene highlight the name and release date.

Some news about the film is that Seth Rogan has said that the voice actors will be actual teenagers for the four turtles to keep the authenticity of the sound for the characters.  In February of this year, it was announced that there will be villain focuse spin-off films in the franchise and that this release is the first piece of a potential franchise.  This will be the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie to hit theaters since Michael Bay’s 2016 sequel Out of the Shadows.
