The Device Event is scheduled for June 15th at 2pm EST. There is about a day and a half until this big season ending event for Chapter 2 Season 2. When jumping into a game, players will see a light shining off from the Agency on the map. When I was landing, I decided to jump in close so I can get a glimpse. When you get close, you can see that the countdown is showing in that beam of light shooting up to the sky.
As you get even closer to the agency, the beam fades and the countdown to the device event becomes ever more clear to the player.
There are changes happening around the agency also, for about a week bubbles had been coming up from near the hatches in the water. Those have since opened up and bubbles are coming out even more.
Epic games also tweeted about this today. One thing that is interesting about there tweet is the capitalization on the words Storm and Broken. It seems like those are hints for the players to think about with the event.
The Device Event was supposed to happen already, but has been pushed back twice already. The start of the next season is following closely with it beginning on June 17th.
