WWE 2022 Tribute To The Troops Has A Date

The WWE released the information for what has become an annual event and is on it’s 2oth anniversary.  Tribute to the Troops will take place Saturday December 17, 2022 at 2:30 PM Eastern Time on Fox.

The show has become a staple of the WWE since 2003 every December.  The show is done in honor of and to entertain the United States Armed Forces.  The WWE states in their press release:

WWE today announced that the 20th anniversary of Tribute To The Troops will take place Saturday, December 17 at 2:30 PM ET on FOX.

In what is considered WWE’s most patriotic and heartwarming show of the year, the company began Tribute To The Troops to honor our servicemen and women and their families and thank them for their continued sacrifice to our country.

The 20th anniversary event will feature a stacked card including SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey, Drew McIntyre, Braun Strowman, Sheamus, Imperium and other WWE Superstars in action.

Last year’s event on FOX was the most-watched Tribute To The Troops since 2014, drawing more than 2 million viewers.

The creation of the event is credited to John “Bradshaw” Layfield better known as JBL, who had suggested it to then WWE Chairman Vince McMahon.  The show has taken place at different Military installations such as Camp Victory in Baghdad, COB Speicher in Tikrit, Bagram Airfield in Bagram as well as places in the U.S. such as Fort Hood in Killeen Texas.

I think it is a great thing that the WWE does this for the troops each year.  Will you be watching during this special air time?  Let us know in the comments below or on our Twitter account by clicking here.  As always stay tuned to Culture Splat as we have some exciting things coming up this month.
