The first Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom teaser has arrived from James Wan and the folks over at DC. They are teasing the first full trailer scheduled to drop on Thursday. The teaser is packed for a 30 second spot. We see Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry/Aquaman, Patrick Wilson as Orm Marius, Yahya Abul-Mateen II back as David Kane/Black Manta and I think we got a quick peek at Nicole Kidman and Amber Heard as well. The full trailer for the film is arriving on Thursday September 14th, it was previously rumored to be dropping at New York Comic Con (NYCC). Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is set to release on December 20th this year, so we expect that marketing will be ramping up soon. Not too much is known about this installment into the DCEU other than Aquaman is forced to protect Atlantis from devastation after an ancient power is unleashed.
This should essentially be the last entry into the DCEU before the vision of James Gunn and Peter Safran for the new DCU goes into full swing. Gunn and Safran have been on record saying there is the possibility of Momoa reprising the role of Aquaman in their DCU but a decision has not been made as of yet.
