A couple of weeks ago, I saw something that caught my eye on Instagram. I saw the Major Wrestling Figure Pod and Bryan Myers were showing off the latest merch that are incoming. This is their take on the old school LJN Wrestling Superstars and it is called Big Rubber Guys. The name is definitely on the nose as to what they are, that is for sure but does this mean that LJNs are back?
In series 1, they will themselves of course but what caught my eye was my favorite tag team as a kid. Demolition, Ax and Smash are available now for pre-order and even come with their entrance masks. The price for the figures are $49.99 a piece or $99.95 for the combo of Ax and Smash. The Myers and Cardona figures are also $49.99 each but for some reason their combo is $99.99. Looking at the figures, wow they look just like the old school Wrestling Superstars which I wish I had kept and not having to recollect them now. Check them out:
There is also the potential chase variant with the red face paint in the style of the original LJN Wrestling Superstar version of Smash. I have to say that the nostalgia factor does it for me and I for one will be ordering the set now that pre-orders are available at the Major Pod Merch site.
