Notable hamburger chain Burger King has teamed up with Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse to provide a spider red whopper. Just like the upcoming film, this burger will be an alternate universe version of the most famous hamburger by the Burger King chain.
Starting on May 15th you will be able to go to any Burger King nationwide and order a Spider-Verse Whopper with a red bun and black seeds. The burger will be everything your traditional Whopper is but will swap out the regular bun for the red and black variant. It will also add melted Swiss cheese, but feel free to, as Burger King likes to say, have it your way! One modification I am making is to 86 the mayonnaise from it as I am not a mayo guy, but besides the mayo it will also have juicy tomatoes, crisp lettuce, ketchup, crunchy pickles and sliced white onions. You would be able to add items like bacon or take off any of the included items making for nearly as many combinations as there are Spider-Verses.
The newest Whopper innovation was developed in celebration of the upcoming theatrical release of Sony Pictures Animation’s Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, the next chapter in the hit film franchise that will swing into theaters worldwide on June 2. The Whopper will be available at participating restaurants nationwide from May 15th through June 21st. Joining the whopper will be a Spider-Verse Sundae just in time for the summer heat. The sundae will have soft serve ice cream topped with black and red chocolate popping candies.
