Destiny 2 – Season of the Witch Weekly Reset Week 7 October 3

What’s up Guardians?  Here we are on Tuesday with your Destiny 2 weekly reset for  October 3 2023 and we are in week 7 of Season of the Witch!  Let’s dive right into it!

First Bungie issued a Hotfix (7.2.0.6) today which covered the following:

Spire of Savathun – Removed the mention to matchmaking in the Legend difficulty option

Seraph Shield – Fixed an issue where players going through the teleporter early were not receiving rewards at activity completion

Crota’s End – Players who completed the Crota’s End Challenge mode during the first 48 hours have been granted the A Broken Throne emblem.  Acquiring the emblem will complete the All For One and the Superior Swordplay Triumphs.

WEAPONS

• Fixed an issue where Delicate Tomb was not receiving Unstoppable Round when this perk is active for Fusion Rifles.
• Weapon tuning for Checkmate only: 
  • Increased damage penalty on:
    • Devil’s Ruin charged laser beam – 10% to 15%
    • Fighting Lion – 0% to 20%
    • Bows – 0% to 10%
  • Reduced damage penalty on:
    • Sidearms – 10% to 5%
    • Submachine Guns – 5% to 0%
    • Scout Rifles – 10% to 9%
  • Increased bonus damage on:
    • Auto Rifles – 0% to 2%
    • Pulse Rifles – 0% to 5%
  • Reduced bonus damage on:
    • Hand Cannons – 10% to 7%
  • Corrected an issue where Vex Mythoclast was benefiting from the bonus damage for Special Ammo Fusion Rifles.

Strand Titan

• Banner of War – Made some adjustments to visuals.

Finally, Bungie added a tutorial on how to crush Hive ghosts to the Lucent Hive story mission from the Timeline Reflections quests.

Now on to the main event!

The Weekly Nightfall this week is The Lightblade the weapon is the Loaded Weapon Fusion Rifle

The Hero modifiers are:

• You will face combatants with Solar and Arc shields
• Barrier and Unstoppable Champions
• Hero Modifiers – Extra Shields, Maximum Level of 1765
• Arc Threat – 25% increase to incoming Arc damage
• Martyr – Exploder units have more health
• Overcharged Weapons – Weapon overcharges from the Seasonal Artifact are active in this activity.  Kinetic weapons do increased damage when your subclass matches an active surge
• Strand Surge – 25% damage increase to outgoing Strand damage
• Arc Surge – 25% damage increase to outgoing Arc damage
• Overcharged Grenade Launchers – 25% increase to All Grenade Launcher damage
• Galvanized – Combatants have more health and are more difficult to stun

The Legend modifiers are all of the above plus:

• Legend Modifiers – Locked Loadout. Extra Shields, Maximum effective level of 1815
• Equipment locked

The Master modifiers are all of the above plus:

• Master Modifiers – Extra champions, Locked Loadout, Extra Shields, Maximum effective level of 1820
• Togetherness – Base health regen is reduced.  If near another player, health regen is increased.

The Grandmaster modifiers are all of the above plus:

• Extinguish – If your fireteam falls in a Restricted Zone.  Everyone is returned to orbit.
• Limited Revives – Limited fireteam revives.  Gain additional revives by killing Champions
• Empath – Enhanced Radar.  Take increased damage from melee.
• Chaff – Radar is disabled

The Pinnacle Reward is obtained once you reach 200,000 as a score (cumulative over your runs of the Nightfall).

Activities for the Destiny 2 Weekly Reset for October 3 2023

Crucible this week is Momentum Control, Rumble, Clash and Control.  Competitive Crucible this week is Rift, Showdown and Survival and the weapon is Mercurial Overreach.  Crucible Labs is Checkmate Survival.  Gambit has also refreshed for the week and has additional Gambit Rank.  Strikes are reset as well and the surge is Solar and Stasis.

The Vex Incursion Zone this week is Zephyr Concourse

The featured Raid this week is Root of Nightmares the weapon is Conditional Finality.  The challenge is TBD.

The featured Dungeon this week is Duality which will grant Pinnacle gear and the weapon is the Heartshadow Sword.  The Ghosts of the Deep dungeon will also grant Pinnacle gear and the weapon is The Navigator Trace Rifle.

The featured Exotic Mission this week is Presage with the weapon being Dead Man’s Tale.

The Ascendant Challenge is Forfeit Shrine – Subdue the major blight by depositing all three charges beneath.  Eliminate the Hive Knights

• Dares of Eternity completed with a score of 250,000.
  • Round 1 Vex
  • Round 2 Cabal
  • Round 3 Crota
• //node.ovrd.AVALAON// activity will grant a Pinnacle as well
• The Weekly campaign mission is Downfall with a score of 100,000

Seasonal Challenges

• Acolyte’s Ascent VII – Complete Week 7 of “The Bladed Path”  Reward – Challenger XP
• Power Caster – Defeat combatants (100) with Power Weapons in Season of the Witch activities.  Reward – Challenger XP+
• Ritual Rampage – Rapidly defeat combatants (50) and defeat challenging (25) combatants in the Altars of Summoning.  Reward – Challenger XP
• Boomsayer – Defeat targets (200) with Rocket Launchers or Machine Guns.  Earn bonus progress by defeating Guardians or by defeating combatants in Season of the Witch activities.  Reward – Challenger XP+
• Lost in the Legend – Complete a Lost Sector on Legend or Higher.  Reward – Challenger XP+ and Bright Dust
• Guardian Spirit – Assist your allies (30) via revives, healing, overshields and subclass buffs in Vanguard, Gambit or Crucible playlists.  Reward – Challenger XP+ and Bright Dust
• Gotta Win Them All – Complete activities (30) in Vanguard, Gambit or Crucible playlists.  Bonus progress is granted for completing Valguard playlist activities at Hero difficulty or higher or for winning Gambit or Crucible matches.  Reward – Challenger XP++ and Bright Dust
• Enlightened Gambit – Defeat Targets (200) with the Arc, Solar or Void subclass equipped.  Bonus progress awarded for ability final blows and Guardian final blows.  Reward – Challenger XP++ and Bright Dust
• Rapid Precision – Get rapid precision final blows (150).  Bonus progress is granted for every defeated target after the second one.  Reward – Challenger XP+++ and Bright Dust
