A few months back, WWE Hall of Famer and wrestling icon Hulk Hogan announced his engagement to his 45 year old girl friend Sky Daily. Friday night (September 23rd), Hulk Hogan marries for the third time to Sky Daily in a small ceremony in Florida. The wedding was at Indian Rocks Baptist Church in Clearwater, Florida. As is typical with the Hulkster, he rocked a durag for the wedding.
The ceremony was attended by his son Nick, but noticeably missing was his daughter Brooke. Yesterday, Brooke addressed the elephant in the room with a post on her Instagram account saying:
“As many of you know, I value my privacy, but unfortunately, a lot of media outlets are making assumptions as to why I did not attend my father’s third wedding. Instead of leaving it to speculation, I decided it’s better to shut it all down here.” She continues, “As we all experience this with our own families, the dynamics of a family unit continuously change over the years. With that said, my family has experienced a LOT of change. With all of it happening in the public eye, I’ve had to learn how to best navigate those changes as they come, which has been difficult to say the least.” I would definitely agree with Brooke here as her family drama played out for the world to see from Hogan knows best, to her parents public divorce and the infamous tape of Hulk. In closing she says, “For my own journey to healing and happiness, I have chosen to create some distance between myself and my family, and am focusing on people and things that heal my heart and align with my own personal beliefs, goals, and values. I wish him well.”
I definitely feel this from her. She was thrust into the spotlight at a young age and was surrounded by so much going on with her family. Sometimes you need to step back and decompress.
