WrestleQuest Delayed Just Before Release

WrestleQuest is a new RPG wrestling game by Mega Cat Studios and Skybound Games. Well just before the release of the game, a tweet was sent out updating those waiting for the game that WrestleQuest has been delayed and will now be released on August 22nd.

In their tweet, they said:

Mega Cat Studios and Skybound Games announced today that WrestleQuest will now be launching August 22 across all platforms.

When performing final checks on one or our launch platforms, we discovered it was possible for players to lose their save game progress when playing WrestleQuest on multiple devices.

Because this is a game filled with hours of content and player progress is so important, we could never bodyslam our fans like that.

We are truly proud of this game and believe that we have a product that delivers on all counts.  We’re blown away by the support we’ve seen from players excited for WrestleQuest.

So it looks like there are a few more weeks before we as players can get our hands on WrestleQuest which I am ok with.  I appreciate when a studio says wait there are bugs lets hold off versus putting out a game they know has issues and will fix “afterwards.”  The description from Mega Cat has it as:

Powerbomb your way through a massive RPG where the worlds of toys, action figures, and wrestling collides.

  • Explore worlds based on their lofty careers.
  • Classic RPG combat meet wrestling moves, match styles, and gimmicks galore.
  • Wild realms, exotic monsters, action figure fighters, and spandexed allies await as this fantasy goes beyond the ring.
  • Upgrade from aspiring rookie to world champ by training, learning, glamming, and SLAMMING to the top of the pro wrestling food chain.
  • Choose your moves, styles, taunts, and even your entrance as you learn what it takes to be the cream of the crop in the pro wrestling world of your dreams.
