What’s up Guardians? Here we are on Tuesday August 29th and we are in week 2 of Season of the Witch! This is your weekly guide for the Destiny 2 weekly reset for August 29 2023. As a reminder, Crota’s End Raid drops this Friday at 10AM PST. Let’s dive right into it!
The Weekly Nightfall this week is Heist Battleground: Moon the weapon is TBD
The Hero modifiers are:
- You will face combatants with Void, Arc and Solar shields
- Barrier and Unstoppable Champions
- Hero Modifiers – Extra Shields, Maximum Level of 1765
- Void Threat – 25% increase to incoming Void damage
- Scorched Earth – Enemies throw grenades significantly more often
- Overcharged Weapons – Weapon overcharges from the Seasonal Artifact are active in this activity. Kinetic weapons do increased damage when your subclass matches an active surge
- Strand Surge – 25% damage increase to outgoing Strand damage
- Solar Surge – 25% damage increase to outgoing Solar damage
- Overcharged Sniper Rifles – 25% increase to Sniper Rifle damage
- Galvanized – Combatants have more health and are more difficult to stun
The Legend modifiers are all of the above plus:
- Legend Modifiers – Locked Loadout. Extra Shields, Maximum effective level of 1815
- Equipment locked
The Master modifiers are all of the above plus:
- Master Modifiers – Extra champions, Locked Loadout, Extra Shields, Maximum effective level of 1820
- Famine – All ammunition drops are significantly reduced

The Pinnacle Reward is obtained once you reach 200,000 as a score (cumulative over your runs of the Nightfall).
Crucible this week is Mayhem , Rumble, Zone Control and Control. Competitive Crucible this week is Rift, Showdown and Survival and the weapon is Mercurial Overreach. Crucible Labs is Relics. Gambit has also refreshed for the week, there is increased Gambit rank. Three of each will give you powerful gear. Strikes are reset as well and the surge is Void and Strand.
The Vex Incursion Zone this week is Ahimsa Park
The featured Raid this week is Garden of Salvation the weapon is Divinity. The challenge is Leftovers – Complete the encounter without killing any Cyclops that spawn in the Harpy boss’s presence. Cyclops that spawn in other areas and during the final sprint can be killed.
The featured Dungeon this week is Spire of the Watcher which will grant Pinnacle gear. The Ghosts of the Deep dungeon will also grant Pinnacle gear.
The featured Exotic Mission this week is Vox Obscura with the weapon being Dead Messenger Grenade launcher (Special Ammo).
The Ascendant Challenge is Shattered Ruins
Other Pinnacle Drops:
- Dares of Eternity completed with a score of 250,000.
- Round 1 Fallen
- Round 2 Hive
- Round 3 Zydron
- //node.ovrd.AVALAON// activity will grant a Pinnacle as well
- The Weekly campaign mission is Downfall with a score of 100,000

- Acolyte’s Ascent II – Complete Week 2 of “The Bladed Path” quest Reward: Challenger XP
- Luminary I – Master the Light by defeating combatants with Void, Arc or Solar Damage (300) and Explore the arcane arts by identifying Minor Arcana cards at the Lectern of Divination in the Athenaeum (5) Reward: Challenger XP+++
- Legend Spire – Complete Savathûn’s Spire on Legend difficulty Reward: Challenger XP+
- Wisps and Whispers – Draw Whisper Cards (7) from the Deck of Whispers in Savathûn’s Spire or the Altars of Summoning to earn powerful bonuses. Unlock the Deck of Whispers by identifying 5 Major Arcana cards at the Lectern of Divination Reward: Challenger XP
- Absolutely Stunning – Stun Champions (50) Reward: Bright Dust
- Most Dangerous Prey – Defeat Guardians (25) in Gambit or Crucible Reward: Bright Dust
- Bank, Kill, Repeat – Earn points by banking Motes, defeating Blockers and defeating Guardians in Gambit (250) Reward: Bright Dust
