New Saw Movie Coming Halloween 2023

News is coming out today that highly successful Saw franchise will be seeing a new Saw movie coming out next year.  We are learning the details from a Bloody Disgusting exclusive article.

This will be the tenth installment in the Saw franchise and is coming off the heels of the 2021 release Spiral: From the Book of Saw.  The Chris Rock led spinoff totaled 40.6 million worldwide at the box office. The nine existing Saw films have had a total budget of around $100 million and have had a worldwide box office of $1 billion.

The yet untitled tenth installment of the Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures franchise will see the return of Saw VI (2009) and Saw 3D (2010) director Kevin Greutert.  Greutert was no stranger to the franchise before taking the helm as he was also an editor on Saw (2004), Saw II (2005), Saw III (2006), Saw IV (2007) Saw V (2008) and Jigsaw (2017).  According to Bloody Disgusting, there is no information available on the plot and characters  but the new Saw movie will capture fans hearts and other body parts.  Producers Mark Burg and Oren Koules said “We have been listening to what the fans have been asking for and are hard at work planning a movie that Saw aficionados and horror fans alike will love.” They continued “And part of that is giving the reins to Kevin Greutert, director of Saw IV, which is still one of the fans’ favorites in the entire series.”

More details will be coming, but what we do know is the release date for the new Saw movie is set.  It will release in theaters on October 27, 2023.
