John Wick Prequel The Continental Heading To Peacock

The upcoming John Wick prequel series The Continental has found a new home.  The series was originally intended to premiere on Starz but has now been moved to Peacock.

In a press release today, Peackock and Lionsgate announced a multi-year deal for The Continental, which is a three-part special event that is based on the John Wick franchise.  This three-part special will be premiering exclusively on Peacock in 2023. The show serves as a prequel to the John Wick movies and will explore the origin story and inner working of the Continental Hotel which is a centerpiece for the John Wick Universe.

In the series, we will find out how a young Winston Scott, played by Colin Woodell (Ian McShane in the films) and Charon, played by Ayomide Adegun (Lance Reddick in the films) seize control of the titular hotel.  The show is set in 1975 New York City and we will see Winston traverse the deadly and mysterious underworld of NYC.  The series will also star Mel Gibson as Cormac, Peter Green as Uncle Charlie the body disposal expert, Ben Robson as Frankie, Hubert Point-Du Jour as Miles, Jessica Allain as Lou, Mishel Prada as KD and Nhung Kate as Yen.
