Evil-Lyn Returns – Masters of the Universe: Revolution

The follow-up to the 2021 Netflix series Masters of the Universe: Revelation is coming in 2024.  According to Collider, the actress who played Evil-Lyn in the 1987 Dolph Lundgren film Masters of the Universe returns to lend her voice a new character in Masters of the Universe: Revolution.

In the 1987 film, Meg Foster portrayed Skeletor’s right-hand woman and sorceress Evil-Lyn.  Today, she is returning to Eternia with an all new role in the series Masters of the Universe: Revolution which will launch on Netflix in 2024.  The character she will voice is Motherboard who is an ancient sorceress of technology.  She will be acting as Hordak’s liason on Eternia.  The character of Motherboard was briefly revealed at the end of Masters of the Universe: Revelation and is a powerful sentient artificial intelligence that uses her nanovirus powers to manipulate Skeletor and the people of Eternia as she aims to ensnare the planet, and Grayskull, as a prize for Hordak.

“My part in Masters of the Universe more than 35 years ago remains one of my most cherished roles,” said Meg Foster.  “I am both thrilled and honored to come back into the fold to embody a brilliant, all-new villainous character that adds color to the vibrant storytelling that Kevin Smith and Mattel have brought to life for fans around the world.”

Masters of the Universe: Revolution is an all-new story that takes He-Man vs. Skeletor to places you’ve never seen before.  It’s technology versus magic as He-Man and the heroic warriors face the forces of Skeletor and a deadly threat to the Planet in the next epic chapter in the battle for Eternia.  Alongside Meg Foster returning to the franchise, she joins a cast with Chris Wood returning as He-Man/Prince Adam, Mark Hamill returning as Skeletor, Melissa Benoist taking over for Sarah Michelle Gellar as Teela and William Shatner in a yet unannounced role.
